Delight is afraid to trust...
When redcoats bring an injured Henry O'Neill to the Butler home for care and lodging, Delight despises the man. A passionate defender of the patriot cause, she barely tolerates his presence. But with her mother nearing the birth of another child and six younger sisters to protect, Delight knows she must oversee her enemy's recovery or bring retribution on her family.
Sparks fly as Delight and Henry hold heated debates about American claims against King George. But as Henry gradually recovers, he professes a change of heart -- and insists he will desert the British forces to fight with the American troops. To Delight's amazement, she finds her heart warming toward this Irish immigrant who challenges her at every turn.
But as her love for Henry grows, she begins to question his commitment. Can she ever love a turncoat? And more importantly, can she learn to trust God completely?
"Wait on the Lord: be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord." (Psalm 27:14)
